Just Take a Deep Breath and thank God

Well I made it through my last day at OSU. CJ did a great job of putting together a lunch and we had a great time. I am going to miss my buds but hopefully we will keep in touch with each other.
I was supposed to have a garage sale on Saturday, but Friday night I received a call that my brother just younger than me had been electrocuted while on the job at American Airlines. He survived the electrocution and was in the burn center at Hillcrest hospital. They had him heavily sedated and my sister-in-law wanted us to wait until Saturday to come.
When we arrived we did not know what to expect. As the story unfolded, we saw God's hand of protection on him time after time. He had taken off his wedding ring and watch a couple of days before because of the heat and swelling in his hand. (They told him if he had had them on he would probably have been killed instantly). His supervisor had come to the bay to see how they were doing (a transformer had blown and all the power lines had been checked and were "Off").
The fuse melded him to it and his supervisor was able to yank him off by his belt. Because of the transference of the current Ed's left arm and his face and his Sup's face caught on fire. His badge totally melted.

Ed had skin grafts on his left arm and right hand today and they had to amputate his little finger on his right hand. They will decide about the right ring finger on Wednesday. But we are praising God that he is not going to need any grafts on his face. The docs say his face will crust over and slough off, his eyebrow will grow back and his face will look good as new.

His supervisor was treated and released and will be fine.
We are standing on Malachi 4:2

Now back to the China adventure - the things I intended to put in the garage sale we took to the Goodwill. We get our second Hep B shots tomorrow and continue getting things ready for departure a week from Friday. Time sure is moving by fast. I guess I will have to run to keep up. :-)
