Catching Up
For all of you who have tried to keep up with me during my adventures in China, I appreciate your patience during the past few weeks. I picked up Diana in Shanghai on Saturday a week before our husbands came. We stayed the night in Shanghai and spent Sunday morning going to "Old Street". My director and his wife took us to a tea house and we had wonderful flower tea. (This isDoug.)
Diana was a little hesitant but finally tried the quail eggs (boiled) and the tofu. She decided both were pretty good. I was so glad to have her there and she helped me finish up my semester and mark my final exams. She enjoyed touring the school including the primary section. It was so good to have her. We wrapped everything up by Wednesday and took off for Hangzhou and Suzhou. Diana loved Suzhou, (this is the Bamboo Grove where we stayed) but Hangzhou was too hot and although it was pretty on the lake, it was not nearly as beautiful as it had been when Carol and I went there in May. But we decided to take a boatride and see if we could cool off. It was so hot, even with our umbrellas, that we even hung our feet over the side of the boat and put them in the water.
We were very glad to get back to the hotel and get out of the heat.

So nice to have you back.
Read some of your blogs for the year, sounds like on the whole you had a good time.
Sorry to hear about your back problems though.
I loved the pics of the flowers and of your art work.
See you in class tomorrow.
